Who Am I
Lingrui (Ryan) Guo (b. 2002) is a classical singer and freelance photographer. He has a Master of Music in Performance (MMus) from the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) in the United Kingdom, following a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree earned in China. As of 2026, he has studied classical voice for nine years. At the RNCM, he trained under the German tenor Thomas Schulze.
During his studies at the RNCM, Ryan performed the roles of Leporello and Masetto in Don Giovanni as part of the RNCM Opera Scenes, and Nardo in La finta giardiniera. He has also presented two recital concerts, demonstrating a broad repertoire spanning opera and art song. Selected for the Chorus in 2026 Black Pack Young Artists Programme
In 2024, was offered admission to Master’s course in Music by eleven universities, including Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, University of Manchester, University of Sydney, and the University of Auckland, with a scholarship awarded by the University of Liverpool.
Beyond his musical career, Ryan is also an accomplished freelance photographer whose work landscape, street, film photography and cinematography. He is particularly known for creating atmospheric short films that capture fleeting moments of cities and natural landscapes, conveying a sense of warmth, peaceful and immersion. Alongside his video work, he has built an extensive portfolio of photographic images.
On Douyin (the Chinese version of TikTok), Ryan has attracted more than 4,000 followers, with over 540,000 likes and a cumulative 8.9 million views. In 2026, he collaborated with Lexar, a global memory card and storage solutions brand, as the photographer for the Manchester stop of its FIFA World Cup 2026 European Tour. His photography was also longlisted for the London Saatchi Gallery ArtEvol 2025 exhibition.
